Casablanca to Chefchaouen drive
The drive from Casablanca to Chefchaouen is not easy for a newcomer as there is no straight highway
In fact, you should reach Kenitra first by the highway, A1 and A5. the ride takes around 2 hours (180 km). Be aware that when you approach Kenitra city, you should quit the highway from the third exit, Kenitra north “شمال القنيطرة “ (there is 2 exits before: Kenitra center “وسط القنيطرة”, the second is Kenitra east “شرق القنيطرة”) You take after the National road N1 (National road means two ways road, and you should get left in the opposite way to pass a car before). You continue through N1 before to turn right at the intersection between N1 and R408 (Regional road 408, which is smaller than the National one) You will cross a rail train before to take R408 to Ouazzane city. R408 is hard to drive in, so please don't try to race against the clock. In any case there are police with radar guns everywhere.
From Ouazzane, you take N13 road, more interesting but twisty and slow with heavy traffic. Good news! the view is wonderful inside the mountains and nice to see. Stop to take picture From Kenitra to chefchaouen, the journey is around 200km in 3h20min.
The total drive from Casablanca airport to Chefchaouen is 380km /in 6 hours (with a 30minutes break)
When you arrive to Chefchaouen, it's very recommended to stop in the entrance of the city to enjoy the view of the city (is a must to see the Chefchaouen panoramic view)

Question: Is there any break area between Casablanca airport and Chefchaouen?
Yes, you may stop in the highway in Gas station to have meal or toilet, after kenitra you may stop in coffeehouse the cities souk El Arbaa, or Ouazzane and have lunch in a coffee shop

For low budget traveler, the bus is the appropriate way to get to CHEFCHAOUEN from CASABLANCA city.
CTM is one of the leader buses company in Morocco.
- From Casablanca city center: Just ask a city taxi(red color taxi) to drive you to CTM FAR station which is located in Rue
Léon l'Africain
- From Casablanca Mohamed V airport: You may either take the train from Casablanca airport to Casa Voyageurs
train station and take a city taxi to CTM station, or simply book a private driver to city center.
The price from Casablanca to Chefchaouen with CTM Bus is around 120DH (12€). The journey is 6 hours. Here

Casablanca airport to Chefchaouen train
Unfortunatly, there is no train from Casablanca airport to Chefchaouen
You may only get train from Casablanca to Tangier "TGV" (2 hours ride) and book a driver from Tangier to Chefchaouen (2 hours).
The train is not the good solution for Chefchaouen
